GoPro has partnered with Huawei to bring the Quik video editing app into EMUIs Gallery. With the newly announced EMUI 5.1, Quik will be responsible for all Highlights and custom video edits.
GoPros has a few apps available on Android and iOS already, and Quik is one of those. Its a very intuitive video editor, which automatically selects notable moments from your photos and videos, and will make Highlight shorts. It can also detect faces and frame the picture accordingly, or it can even sync the whole video with musics beat.
Now, Quick is part of EMUI 5.1 and has been integrated with the launchers default Gallery app. It will automatically make Highlights videos from your best images and clips, and you can find those in your Discover tab. Of course, you can make your own photo and video edits at your will, too.
So, with Quick being the default multimedia editor in the EMUI 5.1 Gallery app, you will be able to enjoy beautiful and smart edits with minimum hassle.
GoPro is expanding its reach via mobile apps, and a partnership with Huawei seems the right way to do it even better. Maybe we could see similar partnerships in the months to come, who knows.
